📢 Disclosure Scotland Update – Temporary PVG Fee WaiverThe Scottish Government will cover the cost of PVG Scheme applications for eligible social care workers for applications submitted between 1st August 2026 and 31st July 2027.The waiver applies to eligible workers taking up a new job or new position within commissioned social care services in the private, voluntary and independent sectors.Eligible roles include managers, supervisors, practitioners and support workers working across areas such as:🔹 Care homes and care at home🔹 Day care and respite services🔹 Housing support🔹 Adult placement services🔹 Residential and secure accommodation for children and young people🔹 Eligible Personal Assistants💷 This means eligible applicants will not have to pay the usual £18 existing member or £59 new member PVG fee.⚠️ Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) roles are not included.Those applying through Volunteer Scotland Disclosure Services (VSDS) should apply as normal and include “FSC” alongside the job title in the Position Applied For field.📧 Questions about the waiver can be directed to socialcarefairwork@gov.scot.
